Took my dog on an overnight winter backpacking trip and used this for the first time. We both loved it. The straps adjusted well. I have a 75lb Bernese mountain dog and she fit at about the tightest setting of the large size. I like that it has a handle, it fits her food, bags, water and a small blanket for her. The orange was also nice because it was easy to see her. Great value for the cost.
This was a Find which made both of us very Happy! This OneTigris Mammoth Back Pack is exceptionally WELL-MADE! Quality features and well-manufactured.No flimsy fabric - strong and durable woven nylon, with a mesh lining. For this Remarkable Price !And . . . I sew! so I know Quality when I see it.What sets this Mammoth Back Pack apart from its competition was the comfortably-wideStraps in front of and around the dogs chest, instead of nylon webbing to cut the dogs skin on long treks. The side Pouches are a perfect size, complete with a grommet in the bottom of each to drain collected liquids, from rain or from fording rivers. The MOLLE webbing next to the Handleis stupendous for securely attaching more equipment, and the hook-&-loop on the Pouchesis perfect to display various Patches. My immediate modifications included: shortening the nylon strap ends slightly, so they don’t flop, and the bungee cords were removed to serve another purpose.Copper is a German Pinscher. Her Neck girth is 15" and her Chest measurement is 24", (Suggested minimums: Neck -18"; Chest - 25")so I was a bit hesitant because she is smaller than the minimum measurements for this Back Pack. When I ordered it, having sewed a LOT over the years, I knew I could adjust this Back Packto be a bit smaller as required. . . . . NEVER MIND - it fit !Before it ever arrived, I talked this Mammoth Back Pack up to the dog, telling her how wonderfulher Back Pack is, and how pretty she looks with it on. Fully adjusted to its smallest size, when I tried it on her, it fit quite well - maybe just a teensy bit too large.Despite it was designed for larger dogs, the Pouches fit her quite proportionately.Small as she is, she loves prancing around in it.Shearling boots, bought in West Germany in 1971, with plastic soles & heels, were harvestedwhen the soles disintegrated with time. The shearling was still in excellent condition, and just one piece from the calf, was hand-sewn on the inside of the OneTigris Mammoth Back Pack. Now, the added bulk from the shearling softly pads her lower chest, and it fits her snugly. With the Back Pack on, she is still able to run like the Wind, and to jump over the rear tailgateinto the back of her car.And the Coyote Brown color blends perfectly with her coat. She uses this Back Pack as a Trained Service Dog.Buy this OneTigris Mammoth Back Pack with Confidence !April 2022 UPDATE:This California, German Pinscher, wearing this ONETIGRIS Backpack off & on, while working, for over a year, she attended an internment at Arlington National Cemetery, and traveled on ten airline flights. She struts around when she has her work BackPack on, and the Packs contain her longer cord leash, poop bags, treats, and large "Hothands" body-warmers. Also added more shearling to the front chest straps for added comfort while in a DOWN on airliners.Everywhere she goes in her ONETIGRIS Backpack, she is the center of attention.
These have been great packs for day hikes with my dogs. I like that they Velcro down across the chest and hips so you can get the perfect fit. Seems to be comfortable for the dogs and didn't have any hot spots or rubbing after several hours of use. Bags are large enough to carry a couple of liters of water (I used collapsable water bags), a collapsable bowl and some food. The medium size pack has smaller bags than the large size. One con is the buckle straps are hard to adjust, but once you get them dialed in you shouldn't have to adjust them again after. They seem to only be there for extra security on top of the Velcro straps. I did originally think the bags were removable from the vest but turns out they are sewn on. Packs have extra Velcro and some molle to attach small gear or patches. Overall, a very sturdy pack at an affordable price.

I’ve had this backpack for my dog since April 2025 and it is now July 2025. We have used it about 20-30 times and it is very sturdy and great quality. Zippers still unzip and zip up easily. My dog seems comfortable with it and loves to wear it for walks. I like that it fits only the upper body of the dog, keeping pressure off the hips and spine. Holds two 32oz Nalgene bottles, one in each zip pocket, and then I ordered collapsible bowls to clip on.
I was looking to add a bit of weight to my dog to get her tired during walks and this will work. It will also be great for hikes. It can hold a mini water bowl along with water. I bought a size medium and it fits with the tightest adjustment. My dog is about 40 pounds and is 16 inches around the neck and 25 inches around her chest. The pockets are very big with a lot of room. I also noticed my dog’s hair is really easy to wipe off. It does stick to the velcro but that’s obviously going to happen. The color is also a plus. One major thing that bothering me is the strap to tighten hangs loose. I tried to tuck it at the neck like in the picture, but it did not work it just kept falling out. I will have to diy a velcro piece to help from wear and tear or to keep my dog away from it. Would definitely recommend.
