I bought this item not to walk my cat, but he has a scratch wound near his neck that he kept scratching and reopening, making it worse. This harness saved the day (and an expensive vet visit), it covered the wound to allow it time to heal, and prevented him from scratching it again and again. The product itself is well made, he did not struggle when I put it on him, which is a surprise since he will not let me put him in a carrier at all. But he accepted this harness and has been fine with it, likely because it feels like a security blanket. The fit around the neck is fine, but it needs 3-4 more inches around the body to make it a comfortable fit. Currently it's a bit tight around the body, as if this product at its largest version is made for slim cats. Imagine purchasing a pair of slim fit jeans. Over the course of a week it has loosened a bit so he feels better now, but initially I was barely able to wrap it around my adult cat's body. It was a pretty tight fit and I was unsure if it was going to work.So kudos to this wonderful product, it does work, and my cat is getting better because of it. The manufacturer should extend the body part by 3-4 inches, so it will fit more cats. I would imagine this product likely does not work for a large population of large adult cats. Aside from that, this is a great cat harness, and my cat accepted it without any issues.
Out of many leashes, this is the only one she is safe in since there's nothing between her front legs she can wedge her leg under to push out of. It's very secure under supervision even when she's been spooked. If I put it on her at home, she can go under the couch and eventually get it off by wedging herself against the ground backwards so I wouldn't recommend leaving them alone with it on, but it takes time. She's 9lbs and very slim underneath the fluff, a large fits her proportionally with the velcro overlapping all the way. It will also fit a heavier built cat of a similar size. It works with long haired cats, you just need to slide your hand so all the fur is brushed aside before you seal it. It's well made and not flimsy. The velcro has held up well since I got it around a year ago. If your cat becomes mashed potatoes when you put it on them, try taking them out anyway, she forgets to melt when she's on the trail. Highly recommend a double sided clip dog leash extender or similar to attach the leash loop to a backpack or belt loop so you can use both hands if need be and they're still attached to you if you drop the leash.
I bought this for my young kitten. I thought the brown tactical with a handle would be a great idea (easy to pick her up quickly). The handle works great as planned, but the harness itself is so thick and rigid, when I put it on her, she just flops over on her side and stares at me. The width of the neck is an issue as well. It is so wide, its like she has a neck brace on. I decided to keep it in hopes of it fitting her when she is full grown.I recently got my kitty spayed, and not wanting to put the cone of shame on her, I opted to come up with something more humane on my own. That's when I remembered the harness I bought her. It worked great in multiple ways. The thick neck kept her from licking her incision and the stiffness (and her choice to just flop on her side), kept her from running around and playing! Luckily she did finally learn to walk in it...
I have 8 cats and one cat is a large Norwegian Forest cat and needs more exercise. I'm still not sure if the Xtra large fits him or not because the first time I tried to put it on him he went limp on me making it impossible for me to connect the Velcro. His long long thick fur got in the way. Anyway I gave it as a Christmas gift for a friend who has a 10-12 pound Chihuahua and it fits his dog VERY nicely. I could see that the Velcro strap underneath still has plenty of room to expand it out more if the dog puts on weight. So, thus far I don't know how well the sizing is for a large cat, so I've ordered another one.The quality on this pet harness was very nice! The design is a nice one as well. The main drawback I found was the adjustable strip and if you plan on adjusting it, do it before putting it on your pet since it's not exactly all that easy especially with my over 70+ year old hands. I like the black and white checkered pattern, but for my friend's dog I probably would have gone with something different since his dog is a dark brownish calico Chihuahua. However it looks REALLY nice on his dog. After it was put on his dog, he wasn't annoyed with having it on! It was a good comfortable fit with just the right amount of spacing between his body and the harness. He actually likes it! It's nice that the Velcro strap that connects under the body is easily adjusted for fitting nicely. Upon watching his dog run around the yard after removing the leash, it didn't cause him any movement hardships.Yes, it's made in China, but it's made with good quality. Even though I don't know if the sizing is correct for my cat yet, I still give it five stars. I'll leave another review when I get the other one I ordered and have gotten it on my EXTRA large cat. Even if it doesn't fit I have other cats to take for a walk and they are definitely smaller and this should fit several of them just fine.Even though it's made of good quality, I would probably hand wash only when it gets dirty.I recommend it.

This is the second one i bought because my cat accepts it. My cat is long and lean at 11 lbs. First, i bought a size Large and it it perfect around the neck but around the belly it's tight. Then, i bought size XL and its perfect around the belly but around the neck is too large and the harness slides around my cat's body instead of staying put. I wish the manufacturer would lengthen the belly straps and shorten the neck straps. The fact that this harness secures though velcro makes it really easy to put on your cat as you don't have to put your cat's limps though any openings; you simply lay the hardness on top of your cat and kinda wrap your cat with the straps. The velro is also a downfall though because fur and debris gets trapped in the velcro amd it's very hard to puck it all out; eventually you have to replace the harness with a new one. For me, if the manufacturer would lengthen the belly straps and shorten the neck straps then this harness would be a five star harness and i'd continue to buy. This harness definitely runs small around the belly so if you have one of the larger breeds such as a rag doll or your cat is over 11 lbs then definitely get the XL.
